Meet Stafford
Small Business Owner. Constitutional Conservative. Problem Solver.
Stafford is the CEO of a consulting firm that helps small businesses grow. This might mean ironing out company operations as the company hires more employees or helping small business owners prepare their companies for sale or transfer to the next generation. Previously, she was the CEO of a technology consulting company that helps other small businesses use technology more effectively.
Her passion for this work comes from a deep seeded belief that entrepreneurship and business ownership are the best pathway out of poverty and to achieving the American Dream. As a second generation college graduate, Stafford deeply appreciates that America is a place where anyone can have the opportunity for a better life.
Stafford is also the current State Party Secretary for the Utah Republican Party. So far she has:
Proposed and got approved a new logo for the party
Implemented a new data system to manage state delegate data more securely
Created a new data request process
Designed and executed a new website (coming soon!)
Completed a complete review of the party’s bylaws and proposed 20+ changes to make them clearer and stronger; and
Rewrote the party’s operations manual (last updated in 2016)
She also served as a National Delegate at the 2024 RNC in Milwaukee, where she was proud to cast her vote for Donald J. Trump.
Prior to that role, Stafford was the Lincoln Club President and Senate Chair for District 8 in Davis County, UT. In that capacity, she was responsible for leading the fundraising efforts of the Davis County Republican Party, most notably the Davis County Lincoln Day Dinners.
In 2022, the DCRP raised enough money to give $60,000 to local candidates - a county record! Stafford worked collaboratively with her Lincoln Club Committee to pull off the various fundraising events that the DCRP held in 2021 and 2022. Teamwork, delegation, and well organized agendas are how a group of volunteers get work done.
In 2022, Stafford was also the Arrangements Vice Chair for the Davis Convention and the Communications Co-Chair for the State Convention. If you got an email about state convention in 2022, she may have written it. If you didn’t see her at state convention, that’s because she was backstage as the Stage Manager making sure candidates and other speakers were on deck to go on stage.
Prior to moving to Utah, Stafford was the Commissioner of Administration (the state’s Chief Financial Officer) for Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, a cabinet level position. As Commissioner, she led an agency of 1,800 people and oversaw the state’s $25 billion budget, risk management, Information Technology, Human Resources, state lands, and other back office functions for the State. In 2016, she was recognized by Forbes on their 30 Under 30 for Law and Policy list as the youngest commissioner ever to serve.
Prior to her cabinet appointment, Stafford served in other roles in Governor Jindal’s administration, including Deputy Chief of Staff, Assistant Chief of Staff, Policy Director and Education and Workforce Policy Advisor. In particular, she is proud of her work to pass Louisiana’s school choice legislation in 2012. After she left Louisiana, Stafford was a strategy and technology executive at a Fortune 500 company before starting her own company.
Stafford received her BA from Yale University and her MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Stafford also serves on the Yale Club of Utah board and is the Utah Chair for Teneo, a network of young conservative leaders. Stafford and her husband Zac live in Peterson in Morgan County with their son Thaddaeus and their cat Chillie, and are active members of their church.
